Ms. Welles is best known for the award-winning Gaia Girls Book Series (Chelsea Green Publishing) This 7 book, middle-reader (suggested for ages 8-12) was called by one reviewer, “Harry Potter meets Sierra Club!” Lee combines real-world earth science and environmental issues with the entertainment of fantastical storytelling. Each book contains hidden codes and puzzles to keep the fun going after the story has ended.
